The Winds of WisdomA Poem by nathanThis is heavily inspired by the Song of Amergin. Credit for image is Natalie Shau. She's the wind upon the tide, washing waves across the sea, She's the roaring of the wave, singing sirens' songs to me. Fiercer than lightning, striking unsuspecting prey Brighter than that beam of light, turning the night, into day. Faithfully deceptive, She's the turning in the maze, Beautiful and cruel, Casting shadows with her gaze. A lover of the hateful, She has no fear of me With graceful abandon, She decides our destiny A curse upon the wicked, The wrath of righteous reign, A grass blade in the Earth, Dispensing power; inflicting Pain! Do I dare speak her name? For when the martyr of the sun, Hears the ancient call, And defends the goddess of the darkness, Then all the kings shall fall For but He may measure mountains, And hear the heavens' howl, Sketch cycles in the stars, And bring honor to the foul. Bring reason to the just, and purpose to the free, Illuminate illusion, And stand where none can see! My holy sword, Unspoken word, Is ever pledged to thee!
