Flowing into the FutureA Poem by Norie CRoses, Rings, and the finer things, They capture the eye with a glimpse of shine, But eventually leave one blind,
What do they show but the surface? Why let them represent us?
You say you deserve them, but why do they deserve you?
You call me absurd, but I say cast your ear to the trees, I am but a bird; disruptive but only trying to be heard,
To partake in the world of pleasures is to promote ongoing behaviors, But to resist is to overthrow the death of humanity, Titles and labels beg for power but are merely vulnerable pleas,
You see, I prefer my own kindly path to life's sudden wrath,
Floating downstream, I lye upon my peaceful raft, Dispersing from all the here-say, I smile and wave along the way,
Perhaps you may wave back, Perhaps you may even grab your own raft,
On we may go following the draft of our dreams, Gliding into the unknown, Fearing not the turbulence to come, Only knowing that we follow the drift of our dreams, And solely believing that life is not all what it seems,
The waterfall will beckon, That is to be expected,
But as we tumble steeply into the roaring waters, You will hear me cry with all the joy inside,
