Lend an Ear to Wishful ThinkingA Poem by Norie CBells and whistles; they sound but no one listens,
Fighting til' the finish, They swoop down and..
Swish, Swish, Swish,
Chorusing in unison, they beckon wishfully, But oh, how melancholy it is,
The swinging and constant missing,
Thus, as hopes blend into oblivion, A gong, bold and brash, sounds infamous in volume,
And with one demeaning comment the sounds cease,
Someone spoke too soon. © 2011 Norie C |
