The Consequences of No Common SenseA Poem by Norie CHere's a more dark and bitter poem of mine. Its kind of old but it still captures much of my emotion at that time.
Hearts play in traffic,
Getting hit in every direction, They run free,Paying No attention, They play recklessly, Dumbly crashing and colliding, Head on, Straight on, Strangled veins spray red over crowded streets, Cars screeching and squalling, The sound quite appalling, Such a ghastly sight, People gather; Meeting, greeting; watching and seeing They can only gawk, with eyes blood shot and faces in shock, Blood begins to pour; flowing through the lock, Seeping to the outside, but the gate remains Closed, What goes on in this town no one ever knows, It stays within the boundaries, The wind never blows, Gasps and screams stay frozen in the air; never spreading; never pervading, Staying right where they started, Welcoming what's to come, My friends and neighbors, Here's to heart break, A slight nod and a tilt of a hat; That's all to be said about something like that.
