Nature's Finest

Smooth and sultry are the sun beams pouring down upon me,

Feet propped up and toes turned upward,

Turned up to the sky,

I am open to the world,

Susceptible to anything,

But I simply smile,

I am safe here on this grassy ground,

Soaking in all the knowledge of nature,

It tells me not to worry,

It tells me not to fret,

The breeze only pulls my lips into a full-blown grin,

As the sun brightens my soul and tans my skin,

The trees continue on,

Casting shadows and permitting their leaves to whisper sweet secrets,

Comfortable silence glazes over all doubt and concern,

There is no time for worry; there is only time to learn,

Lying here content, love is all I can feel, happiness is all I can find,

Fingers, toes, freckled face and body all surrender to this moment in time.
