The Life of a Poet

The Life of a Poet

A Poem by Timothy Farris
"

This poem randomly came to me while I was watching the Medical Channel! Cx

"
The Life of a Poet,
Is like no other,
Most people don't know it,
I was raised by my mother,

I'm merely underage,
But I still drink,
To avoid the pain,
When I start to think,

I'm turning out to be like my father,
Which I'm greatly embarrassed,
The only thing this pen can't do,
Is seal my own casket,

A student by day,
Alcoholic by night,
No matter what people say,
I'll never see the light

About
I'm new to Poetry, I'm a Junior in High School (sophomore year english teacher got me into poetry). I've honestly had a difficult life and I write about it. Some poems just are random and come to me. .. more..
