"Two-Faced"

"Two-Faced"

A Poem by natzky

"Two-Faced"

You're such a genius
you made me believed.
I still remember the way you talked-
A certified poet with flowery words
Such a perfect pretender-
Sick of trying to be up front
while hiding beneath cover.
How come I didn't notice?
That everything was a trap
I was blinded by your charm
And I Let you fool me around
But now finally it's over
You're true colour was revealed.

It's really painful when we open ourselves to a certain person and then we'll learn later on that this person never reciprocated. That he was actually wearing a mask. It makes us pessimistic when it comes to trusting people. I loved how you described that person. Comparing him to a poet was also a smart move. Really good job on this one. Keep on writing. :)

Many like this in the world, as a youngster I could've charmed the knickers of a nun, thank God I never stumbled across one. Many a frog to Kiss for most before they find their Prince ( or princess)

I like it! I can relate a little too. How people don't really show their true self and they lie to make everything sound good. Also I love the picture. Itchigo kurosaki. (Did I spell that right?) I love that show. Lol. Great write!

spellbound by dream, happens to the best of open hearts, the form works
great to create the powerful sense of underlying pain, artistically expressed
