Two StatesA Poem by natzkykind'a inspired by Cheta Bhagat's novel "States"“2 States” I She was a hard-boiled priestess from the north- and you’re this rowdy navigator from the south. Both were guard up and fully armed. No one’s inclined to drop the sword. Until one day, fate roguishly plays its hand. Two different poles- Falls on the same line Mutually spaced-out coz’ both were novice.
II The navigator’s paddle now replaced with a handful enticing
daffodils. Dishevelled by the thoughts how she transformed him, From a cold hardcore self-devoted boy, to a renewed selfless Martian. Minded to start anew with this tenderfoot ladylove He knew that the process would be rough. Considering that both were raised from a distant. But the thought of not waking up next to his gal, wrings his
heart. And so, he nestled with her in euphoria.
