burn

burn

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

I melt like lead with your liquid, ruby touch...

"
the lines on your hands
are so small
so fragile

like the rain

you touch everything
so delicately
like a flower petal
landing on my tongue

your gaze is soft
your eyes never linger
your soul doesn't catch mine
your heart doesn't call

your heart doesn't call

where is the storm
fueled with black passion?
where is the thunder
striking in my core?

I want to see your fire
I want to see you burn
won't you rise for me?
won't you break your soul?

won't you break your soul?

take your shame and burn until it's ashen
suck love from my eyes until all is lust
release the howling wolf, embrace passion
ravage me, burn me, break my filthy trust
strike me with terror, harbor your rations
the haunting won't stop until all is dust

I melt like lead with your liquid, ruby touch
I burn in ice after your poisoned touch

this fever incinerates;

one together
one with each other

this is what I wanted
this is what I sought

come closer to me
come become mine

take me completely

the lines of your smile
are so bright
so bold

the light in your eyes
is so brilliant
so daring

your hand in mine
my heart in yours

everything

the love in your heart
is mine
only mine

I like it a lot. The first stanza seems a bit tethered to the rest of the poem. Otherwise, there is much robust imagery and passion.
