I want to play in a band with a crazy name
so I can grasp my destiny and reach for fame take my broken heart and bring it from shame so I can kill the puppet that bears my name I want to catch a spider weaving her web talk to Arachne and have her tuck me in bed because if she does I just might finally ebb and catch these dreams with our hope-laced web I don't want to sing 'cause I can't carry a tune but I'll take your hand and we'll fly up quite soon where we'll land on a planet seen only in June and dance our lives to a never-ending tune I want to kiss your lips though it's been a while 'cause maybe you'll speak with me, maybe you'll smile I'll kiss you everywhere; you'll think I have style and when our hearts melt, we can both wait a while We'll go see Arachne and visit that star we can sit with her spiders and strum our sitars we'll weave webs of doors and leave them ajar they'll let the wind in, blowing straight from that star But for now we're broken; just dead marionettes we're playing our own tunes, never the same set our hearts keep spending, going deeper in debt I want to try harder but I'm just a marionette Smiling, I hold my heart on this lonesome lane holding that spindly dream in our web laced with pain hoping to kiss your heart when we're once more insane reaching for your hand, walking this lonely lane © 2011 DeepshikhaAuthor's Note
