Sunshine Far Away

oh, the sunshine's far away

and I don’t know where it’s takin’ me

but I keep riding along my heart

 

the clouds cover the skies in May

and I don’t know where I’ve gotta be

but I keep tearing the gloom apart

 

the people’ve got nothing to say

and I don’t know if I can sing past them trees

but I keep catching these poison darts

 

oh, the sunshine, it’s so far away

and I can’t tell where it’s takin’ me

but I can only ride along my heart

 

the flowers aren't cheap cause I can't pay

and I don't seem to have the keys

but I can ride away in a shoppin' cart

the world keeps slippin’ to the fray

and I don’t see what I need to see

but I can understand this art

 

oh, it’s only the sunshine, painted far away

and I can see that it’s where it needs to be

so I’ll keep ridin’ along my heart.
