Until the Rain is Gone

Until the Rain is Gone

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

Stay with me, just ourselves...until the rain is gone.

"

This sun has finally set,

And the clouds have come to play;

This rain is still looming,

One more tear and it might burst.

Finally the storms begin,

And the earth relents to her sorrow;

The skies torment her,

The lights scar her heart.

Softly, softly, the rain keeps falling,

Soaking my soul and yours;

There is no room for thunder,

There is no need for more.

All that was said is gone,

Acrimony washed way;

Our limbs are aching,

And age is finally upon us.

We are old and wizened,

So many sunrises past;

Yet nothing means the world to us,

Everything exists for this storm.

But the rain is here now,

I can feel its chill on my heart;

Gray skies are all we needed.

The thunder is kept away.

Take my hand one last time,

Let’s step into the rain;

One more time we’ll laugh together.

One last time we’ll see ourselves.

Until the rain goes away.

Until it goes away.

Away, far away.

Rain...don’t go away…

Best read with Ruska by Apocalyptica playing. I'm iffy about this one, though.
