Music

Music

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

It is omnipresent, omnipotent...kinda like God.

"

Like a singing bird,

Calling midflight;

Like a falling flower,

Floating gently down;

Like a ripple in water,

Slowly shimmering up and down;

Like a starry night,

Twinkling and shining;

Like a mountain range,

Old and majestic;

Like a thunder clap,

Booming upon the heavens;

Like a tiny bee,

Buzzing from flower to leaf to hive;

Like the freshly sprinkled snow,

Clear, crystal, and bright;

Like freshly baked bread,

Warm and inviting;

Like a poet’s words,

Soulful and heartfelt;

Like a dancer’s steps,

Gracefully dreamy;

Like the curves of the clefs,

Free and powerful;

Like the cry of the patriot,

Ambition and a will;

Like the rustling of the trees,

Like the cry of the lone wolf,

Like the crackly of fire,

Like the words of the immortals.

This is music.

Nice description of music as a whole. How the ups and downs and quirks of the composer all can be considered as music, and that anything that pleases one, incites emotion, even in nature, can be considered music, so as long as it appeals to the soul of one.

Or something along that line. Quite interesting, but yes, its rather cliche. Still a nice poem, all in all.
