A Walk Through The Stars

A Walk Through The Stars

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

This is...quite an oddity. I wrote it with no purpose...

"

With sweet sleep upon the eyes,
And soft blankets of love to softly rise;
I wander into darkness, tears and cries.

Soft snow falls among the skies,
Dispelling hate, beasts, lies;
I hope I can do this, I hope I can try.

Trying not to disturb untouched flowers,
Beautiful, deadly, tall as towers;
I run deftly through their pollen shower.

It is not what you know, they told me,
Only that you must become and be;
I will not; for I refuse to see.

Lightly floating flakes surround,
Playing with the human sound;
I do not watch, but only at the ground.

Dejection and betrayal,
Raging infernos through the earth’s gale;
I know as the people utterly fail.

It is unbearable,
This Hopeless gable;
I must escape, to lands only of great fable.

The stars call, soft whispers in the breeze,
Guiding everyone, making life go with ease;
And I will not stay- I will go and fly as I please.

For I want to take a walk among the stars,
To softly tress the clouds.
I want to fly above all souls,
To fight the wind.
I want to break free from it all;
I want to walk among the stars.

I think this is a wee bit choppy, and the rhyming a bit off.

I really like this poem and all the metaphors and similes and such, but I think it's that kind of poem that doesn't actually need to rhyme. Just what I think.
