I Can't Say

Some lyrics I came up with when I was bored...I have remnants of the tune in my head, and I'm trying to transpose it from piano to guitar...Enjoy.

I wished upon a star,

And hoped that it would bring,

The happiness that I so longed for…

 

I let my dreams,

Of a better world,

Take me away…

 

And now I have to go,

Face my fears.

Relive the nightmare…

Get out of my mind,

And face the world…

 

I can’t say why I don’t know.

I can’t say why I don’t see.

I can’t say why I have to breathe…

 

That one that I had,

Dissolved into dust,

With my tears…

 

I left my life,

For one I knew,

Would never happen.

 

 But I want to stop,

This meager life.

I want to escape,

To somewhere else.

Though I don’t want to leave,

That nook of my mind,

But now I have to go,

Face the world...

 

I can’t say why I don’t know.

I can’t say why I don’t see.

I can’t say why I have to breathe…

 

I can’t say…Why I just can’t go.
