Thought

Something that randomly popped into my head, so I decided to write it down. It turned out quite interesting.

They say an action is sprung from a thought.

But is it really you that is thinking,

Something you couldn't have thought of?

Or is it someone else?

 

If the thought is thought by someone else,

Then who?

Your spirit?

Your best friend?

God?

 

And if God is the one thinking,

And therefore doing these actions,

Then why is there violence?

Why are there sins?

Why is an innocent child dieing because his parents wre killed,

Hoping that their child could have a better future?

 

Is it karma?

Our past sins coming back to haunt us?

 

Or is it Satan?

The root of evil doing his work.

 

So if our actions come from thoughts,

Then wouldn't the way to live sinless,

Would be to live,

Without thought?

 

Damn it,

This makes my brain go funky.

Author's Note

The last line is there to remind us that if we dwell on these kinds of matters, we shall one day go mental.

I loved the mental and philosophical wanderings of this piece!
It's a thinker that weaves it's way through our minds as we read each line.

You form works very well for your idea's as they sprawl across the page, or at least i think so!

One thing I noticed in line 3 - "Something you know you (couldn't not) have thought of?"
I wasn't sure if you put the double negative in there on purpose or not. I found that it did through off the poem a little.
