Rain

Rain

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

Oh, how I love the rain. Inspired by my imagination and the longing to run outside and soak myself in the rain.

"

A soft pitter awakens me.

My window is dark.

I see clouds.

I see a grayish light.

The skies pour open.

Tears fall.

The earth is washed.

All miseries swept away.

Sometimes loud 'plops' plunking.

Sometimes soft 'phhaa' dropping.

I long to be outside.

I want to be in the rain.

I want my worries to be washed away.

I want to feel it on my skin.

I want to get sick from the chill.

I want to know that I am alive.

I want feel it on my face.

I want to taste it on my tongue.

I want to splash in it.

I want to dirty my clothes.

I want, no, need to know that I am alive.

I want the rain to wash me away.

I wanted to make my lines look as if they were falling themselves, but I didn't want too much chaos.
