Dandelion

Dandelion

A Poem by Deepshikha
"

Inspired by the field of dandelions growing in the courtyard outside my math class. It's actually very pretty.

"

In a sea of deep green,

Waves forming in the soft breeze,

You grow,

Yellow and proud.

Like stars in a dark night,

Glittering softly,

You grow,

Islands of sun in a green space.

You may be hated,

The bane of the gardener's existance,

But you grow,

Persistant and hard to stop.

Dandelion,

Teach us something,

For you grow in a sea of green,

Shining like the sun.

...This is a breath of words whispered through the same small breeze
whree that wish was made upon such a delicacy of a flower,
that grants wishes from power
of the heart's resisting tears,
but yet it is so ethereal
and sad
that
it is
hated.

I love this! I too think dandelions are beautiful & hate to see them killed. >:( I think you captured the beauty of these "weeds" wonderfully through your description, this was a pleasure to read!!!
