DandelionA Poem by DeepshikhaInspired by the field of dandelions growing in the courtyard outside my math class. It's actually very pretty. In a sea of deep green, Waves forming in the soft breeze, You grow, Yellow and proud.
Like stars in a dark night, Glittering softly, You grow, Islands of sun in a green space.
You may be hated, The bane of the gardener's existance, But you grow, Persistant and hard to stop.
Dandelion, Teach us something, For you grow in a sea of green, Shining like the sun. © 2008 DeepshikhaReviews
