A New Beginning

          I was awakened by a voice saying that we had reached our new home.I opened my eyes to see a brown house with trees surrounding it.I got out of the car and walked to the front door, I opened it to see a empty living room,it was white with blue stripes all over,I just looked at it with disgust.I walked into the kitchen,it was the smallest kitchen I ever did see.I wondered how a house that was so big could have such a small kitchen.I couldn `t stand it any more,I ran out of the house and sat and waited in the car.

     I waited there for about half and hour when my dad came and asked why I was just sitting in the car.I said I was to upset,the house was so ugly and the place was quite and there did n `t seem to be anyone around here,but my dad knew me better than I knew myself,he knew that wasn`t the reason.So he made me come inside and sit and explain what i was so upset about.

       After explaining for more than and hour I finally had no other choice but to go see my room,my dad said that he did n `t want to here about any of it again.The room wasn`t so bad as the rest of the house,it had three windows and it`s own bathroom.When I finally settled down,I decided to go see and explore the rest of the town.There was  a shop two blocks from the house and a kindergarten school across the road.

       After exploring the malls i decided to head home,besides i couldn`t stay long anyway it was Saturday and it looked like they were ready to close.When i got home,I ran to my room and sat there for the rest of the night reading Nancy Drew.Nancy never had this kinda problem before,she and her best friends Bess and George were never apart like I am to Amy and khadija.

      I woke up to find my brother jumping up and down on my bed saying time for school. Time,school,OH MY GOSH!!! I couldn`t believe what day it was,i thought to myself ''wasn`t it just Saturday?''.i continued to think to myself '' I was going to another school I did n `t know anyone there,they were all strangers to me. I got dressed and hurried down for breakfast it wasn`t easy being a ninth grader at a school that lets you do so many things,things that you know nothing about.

      After dad dropped me off I felt scared, I felt so claustrophobic at the point.I took a deep breathe and entered the school compound,I couldn`t believe my eyes there were children everywhere,and from the looks of it ,it looked as though you cud of worn anything you wanted.At Westbrook we had to wear matching uniforms(a white shirt,with red lines and cinnamon coloured skirt with black socks and shoes.

      I walked briskly to the office and pushed in the front door,i stopped and stared for a few minutes then i saw a lady sitting behind a counter.i quickly walked over and asked where my class was,she said it was room 24,the second floor last door on the right.When i arrived at the door,i peeped in to see what was going on inside...from what i saw all the children were walking around the classroom aimlessly.I searched for a seat,alas i found one,it was at the back of the class in between a boy who was sleeping and dribbling on himself and a girl who was sitting reading a Nancy Drew book.

     I was about to ask her her name but the bell rang,so i waited until the end of the class.It seemed like forever,but finally the bell rang again.I walked out the class to look for her but i did n `t see her anywhere.As i was about to go look for my locker,i jumped,there she was standing right behind me smiling.''hi,I`m Lilly,'' she said still smiling at me,''hi,I`m Sam.''
