ParasiteA Poem by _Hanabi_
I sit and I wait, I feel it on the inside,
It's consuming me, it's taking me, I can't hide. I sit and I listen, I wait for it to speak, But nothing comes out, nothing, not even a peep. It stays quite when I listen, When I'm busy it talks. It says horrible, degrading, disgusting things, It teases, it mocks. It makes me do things, makes me say things I don't mean, It makes me hurt people, it makes me cry, It makes me scream. I can't relax, I just can't be free, It's taking away everything I hold dare to me. It whispers to me when I'm alone, I hear it whenever I'm on the phone. I hear its voice when others speak, A slow, nerve wrecking shriek. I can feel it whenever I lie still, Like it's scratching to get out, someday... ...maybe it will. © 2015 _Hanabi_Reviews
