Nightmare

Nothing but darkness in these halls
Heart pounding as the time ticks
As I trace these walls
Chased by dark menacing laughter
Down this endless pit
Follows me as I stagger

Your voice calls out to me
Searching in this emptiness
Unable to flee
Away to the safety of your arms
If eyes could only see

My breath labors
As I scratch and crawl
Towards your smooth timber
Desperately calling my name
Razor sharp claws scrape at my back
Stabbing with pain
Fear lodged in my throat
Lips whisper a whimper
