Everywhere Away

Everywhere Away

A Poem by Natasha Ashway

I walk on a pathway of mirrors, slanting, sliding, parting,
Silently
Infinitely
My hands fall through walls of glass
But my steps are firm
Hollow, hollow, hollow life

She is in the cupboard; she is on the windowsill
She is walking everywhere away from you
And falling everywhere away
The stars don’t reach here
Shame.
