A Poem by Natasha Ashway
"

A picture says a thousand words. A look, a million and one.

"

Two pairs of eyes watched me
Two pairs of promises
In his of a stolen love affair
In hers a never ending nightmare
A straying lover
And his intuitive other.

Rarely does short poetry say so much. I like your style a lot. Quick question, though, why don't the first two lines rhyme? It seems that would be the pattern, sticking with your parallelism. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that it stuck out to me and made me wonder what your thought process was. Anyway, again I find myself pleased after reading your poem.

Have a nice day!

"Two pairs of promises" This is an excellent piece. No wasted words, just xray vision. Great job.
