Keep Me

Keep Me

A Poem by Natasha Ashway
"

A lover's need for another's creed.

"

Keep me
In an untouched place in your heart
And upon a sacred altar,

Do this
For me so that my own diligent religion
Will not cause me to go under,

You may
Love everything you touch
And lust
More elegant beings than I’ve power to be,

But do not
Ever put out the candle burning in your soul
I could keep alight
For eternity.

This speaks volumes to me at this time in my life. Your words express credence between two souls that have connected and intertwined. As time passes and things change hold fast to this one thing, don't extinguish that flame, hold what was sacred, and don't disregard the memories.

I love it, thank you for writing it.

I like the message here, you are correct in thinking this is what it is about, errr should be. I enjoyed this, very delicate and tender writing. Good job!

this has some great potential in the way it was written.
The subject has been done by everyone, but by keeping it simple and short you strengthen the impact of the words.
I am going to add a few notes just as suggestions
I like this alot
keep writing

I enjoyed reading this poem! An artful way of say, "Forget everything else but don't forget me." Great work!
