One Eyed KingA Poem by Nathaniel Lufkinbased off of a Roman Proverb
Who among us is up to everything
For no matter how long you try to be the best with nothing to stand in your way You'll always fall short Look at your rivals and your enemies. Look among the brothers beside you. Weakness and fear breeds its own kind. You nor your comrade are perfect Is the definition of power to buy what you need. Being able to lift the guy next to you off the ground, to convince those with to fill in your with-outs, or maybe to defeat your enemies at chess time and time again We all have our short comings. Maybe real power is to perceive others' disadvantages, and use that ability to remove those who will do you harm. You are the One-Eye man Because In the land of the blind, the One-Eyed man is King Don't let your failures show and bring you down. Others will use that against you. When everyone has their faults, the one will the least, is The One-Eyed King
