Bella

Bella

A Poem by MrMojoRisin

Belle sitting in the dark room
In a black dress with red lips and dark hair, skin fair.
With a smile that brings men to their knees and makes time slow.
The red rose of my heart I'd wish you'd let grow.
You look at me over your glass of red and I'm lost.
Caught in a seconds trance between the ends of the universe
I see the past and future in your eyes
But the present is blurry, is it the gin?
Or the beauty radiating off your precious skin?!
Bella! Bella! BELLA!
Yes bells ring in my ears and cloud my mind!
The glow of your smile could make a man blind!
I'm smiling like a young boy who just found his first love!
I'm stuck in what is and what will soon be what was!
The white wolf preys and stalks from across the room
Yet she does not stir, nor move
Fearless in the night she laughs at the dog
The light engulfs the beast, consumes his very nature
The hunter is the hunted
The beast, the prey
Beaten by a smile as bright as the day
Her lips red with blood from the prey she's slain
She's as confident as the night, come what may
Yet the wolf still howls at the dead of night
To the moon-lit sky and van Gogh clouds
And you turn your head.
And I'm back to Earth.
And the saxophone wipes the present clear like a cloth on a foggy window.
And you saunter over with a wave of your hips.
To accept my rose as red as your lips.
Belle it won't die, Belle it lives on.
Belle this wolf still howls his song
