A Chapter by carla

After Jane died it felt as if life had taken on a slow meaningless pace. But every day her words resounded in my head 'don't let the hardships of life keep you down' and so I have kept moving on. Rai and Belle took my brother and me into their home and their lives. The Andrews family moved away because Jane's father had found a renewed passion for finding a cure for cancer. As for me, I got a scholarship and went to study music as well as medicine.

Sarah had a debut at a concert where she hit it big and she is now living the life she dreamed. Though it was missing one person in it; she never lost the will to move forward.

Philip, the stranger I met all those years ago, was a good friend of mine along with his brother Mat. He studied theater and I had to admit he was pretty good at it. In his spare time he practiced mixed martial arts. Once he taught me some self-defense moves and I was thankful for it.  He was also trying to win my heart which he was doing a good job of doing but I wasn’t about to tell him that, yet. Mat was a greatly respected new artist but he was climbing quickly in recognition. He always helped Philip in his efforts to gain my affection and it made me feel good have someone doing this for me. Ever since Mathew I have been scared to open my heart again but Philip is fighting for what he wants and I admire that in him.

Now I sit on this beach and watch as Adam races across the sand trying to catch sand crab. I look to the sky and think of the people who came through my life and changed it in so many ways. My mother and father were always on my mind as well as Jane and father Charles who always pushed to help me better myself in this world. Life had not stopped knocking me down but I have been able to pull myself back up and it is times like this, when I look back at my past, that I realize how strong a human being can be. But no matter what we go through or what we do we will never be able to stop the flow of time. We all are subject to the ever falling sands of time.

It has a good plot, but it seems messy in some places, like those parts don't belongin this story. But the imagery was good.
