rose

rose

A Poem by carla

a single rose

the white petals stained with red

how do you clean a red stained rose?

she did

with tears

over his grave she placed that same rose

'good-bye'

the rose remained stained but not by red-blood drops

by tears,

shed by the heart

those stains can not  be cleaned

A beautiful poem. In so few words you said so much. You did a outstanding job.

this was a touching poem that made me a bit sad while reading it. i love poems that are able to have that effect on me because without so much as emotion, it would be just reading simple words on a screen. thanks for sharing this. and great job. :)
