It's the start of summer in the small town of Woodbury, Tennessee, and 17 year old Billie Carter was ready to leave. Billie used to have the perfect family, her parents loved each other and her brother was her closest friend, until something happened that changed how she viewed everything. Things hadn't been the same since her family had been ripped apart by her father, who revealed he'd been having an affair for the last two years and was moving out. Since then, Billie was convinced love didn't exist, how could it when everything she ever thought was real, was a lie? How could it when her father left her on Christmas Day without a second thought? Now, six months on, her brother, Josh, was the man of the house, changed from their old playful days, into a mature man running the farm at just 20 years of age. But something different was happening this summer, their old family friend Westley was coming to stay to help out with work on the farm. When Billie and Westley begin spending more time together, getting closer and learning more about each other with each passing day, will he be able to dig a little deeper and prove to her that love really does exist?
