A Dolphin's DayA Poem by NatalieJust a little poem I dreamed up for a contest. Pay it no mind, I know it isn't very good. But I tried!! :D Poetry isn't my strong point... I just thought it might be interesting to imagine what the dolphins think of those aquarium shows.
A Dolphin's Day
They shriek and they dance, Wiggle and scream. A spectacular sight, A spectacular scene. Ice cream dripping, On a hot summer’s day, Makes it far more interesting, To watch the humans at play. They are so very kind, Giving us entertainment and a meal. While we flip to get a better view, And they feed us fish and eel. We watch them scamper, People running to and fro. Splashing them with water, Only makes for a better show. The calves are most entertaining, For their laughter is so loud. At the sight of our fins and glamorous tails, Excitement takes hold of the crowd. And now for the finale, the very best part, Any dolphin could tell you so! We flip and we fly, they cheer and they dance, And that’s that! It’s the end of the show.
