Fading to GrayA Poem by NatalieNot really sure where the inspiration for this came from. It kinda just popped out of nowhere. Once again, probably not amazing, but not something I felt okay with getting rid of.
Suffering, pain, It filled my life. The screams of another, Or the tickle of a knife. So what a small wonder,
Evil and heartless, My mind gone astray.
But then you came along, Not so different from the rest. At first I was cruel, Blackhearted at best.
And that's when you showed me, Just what it was like. To live, and laugh, Without hate or dislike.
I could feel my heart turning, The black fade to gray. Perhaps mean and evil, I couldn’t always stay.
So out of the dark, And into the light. Following you my love, Walking out of the night.
