Eyelash Illusion

Eyelash Illusion

A Poem by Addict With a Pen
"

Her long lashes fell to the ground...

"

Her long lashes

Fell to the ground

With nothing to catch them

But her pondering eyes

Like raindrops…

Inevitable to fall

Until time stops

And her eyes raise to look at mine

Because my heart beats

Like the strobe light

That creates our illusion

That makes the rain…

Fall up

Author's Note

She really had beautiful eyes, but she covered them with long lashes that always seemed to point down...

Beautifully captured. I totally related to this before reading your authors note. Left me thinking how less can be so much more when it comes to the beauty that we see that inspires us.

Thank you for the review :)
I found this quite deep, a hymn for the people who hate themselves. Also, I like how you added to the scenery with the rain drops. Beautiful, descriptive and immersive poem, I like it.
