Broken

Broken

A Poem by Nat Sav

and it was still, quiet as a breath intaken, sharp like the glass fragments from the shattered window scattered haphazardly across the floor, tensional,
charged, apprehensive like the feeling that something bad is going to happen and

and broken, the window, the silence, all of it. broken.
"I'm sorry"
broken worthlessly,
broken with a worthless word, signifying nothing and absolutely everything about the dire situation.

Broken.

My mouth searches for the words to say the things my mind is screaming but I can't. it's all broken, im broken, and no sound is able to come out.

like im chewing on the glass, shards cutting my gums and chapped lips, and my mouth is bloody and everything is red and everything is

and everything is nothing
