the fall

the fall

A Poem by Nastia

Somewhere beneath the shinning star, lies a soul so hurt and broken. Reaching out to the star that seems so far away but it shines so close. Oh how wonderful the life he envisions above seems. How hard it is knowing no ladder can reach such heights. With every breeze that passes, every leaf that flies he breaks a little, knowing he can never be as free or as beautiful. The night brings in a new terror, the sunrise a new fate that seems so much like the old one. He stands on the roof of his life, and trier to reach out, with every inch he comes closer to the star, but wait, there is the edge of his roof. He inches closer but falls. Oh what a fall, so free and real, and now he knowshow it feels to be a breeze

"The night brings in a new terror, the sunrise a new fate that seems so much like the old one." Lovely line here! It'll make the readers think so much about regression (I fall victim to that so many a time:))

Keep writing!! Your progress is astounding:)
