Precious Daughter

Precious Daughter

A Poem by C.D.B

From the time she was born
I looked at her and seeing her cried
Grassing for her first breath of air
Crying for her mommy,
Standing there seeing her being
Alive with my fiancé,
I couldn't ask for more,
How my fiancé gave birth
To a baby girl for me,
That I could call my own daughter
I could hold her in my arms
Seeing her wiggling around trying
To get warm looking for food
And sleep in my arms at the same
Time...

Gave her name Shawntae
By my fiancé, knowing
That we agreed to that name together
I love her so much like her mother
That I have my daughter with
So many precious moments that
I kept in my head from the time
She was born I can see now
That I’m a father to a baby girl
The one that I gave my heart to
And also to the girl I love,
Having this beautiful baby girl with
Those two meant a lot to me

I could never asked for more than this
To have a baby girl in my life,
A daughter that called me father
Growing right up in front of me
Playing around showing how much
I’m so lucky to have a daughter
That I’m so in love with and care for
Raising her with my fiancé
Seeing how much her parents
Loves her so much,
Like nothing else in this world
Would matter to us beside her,
A memoir that means a lot to me
Because all of is a special happy moment
There nothing else more better
Than being there for my daughter
And my fiancé who gave a birth to my
Little angel into this life that I can
Hold on to and be with her,
I love them both so much
