Kiss it all better

Kiss it all better

A Poem by Emily is not found, she is but lost within herself
"

a ballad based on a song

"

Another normal day in a large town,

The busy streets filled with many frowns.

One above all was taken by surprise,

As light was taken from her beloved eyes.

Two men then fought until one felt death.

Now he has to live with her last dying breath.

The rain dripped down her tender face.

The coward left without a trace.

Her empty eyes searched and her blue lips shook.

He wouldn’t forgive the man for the life he took.

As he looked to the face of his dying love,

Her skin turning white, like a peaceful dove.

He rushed upright with a broken heart.

With his tear stained cheeks he goes back to the start.

The man, dressed in black, came from the roaring street crowd.

Despite a malicious face, he seemed quite proud.

He fired his weapon, the drunken aim.

He ran, too fast proving he was to blame.

She collapsed to the violent ground,

The thunder in the clouds began to sound.

He gently fell to her blood stained side,

Gave into his weakness and lost his pride.

Now as he, began to stand,

The heat, the rage, began to expand.

He took one last look at the murder that did occur,

And chased quickly after evil in a blur.

His heart and his stomach jump to his throat.

He catches a glimpse of that big, black coat.

Flashes of her face pass through his mind,

And his pace picks up as his teeth grind.

He takes one large, gasping breath.

He yearns for the miserable death

Of the vicious monster who tore his world apart,

With the brutal bullet to his lovers heart.

Once he caught the greedy thief,

They fought until he felt no more grief.

When he got a hold of that cold, silver gun,

His world was then left with no shiny sun.

This memory haunts this caged up man.

One drunk bum destroyed his lifelong plan.

The love of his life had gone and died,

He can still hear the last words she cried.

Kiss it all better, I’m not ready to go.

It’s not your fault, you didn’t know.

Now all I ask of you, is do not weep

And stay with me as I fall asleep.
