Shadow People

Shadow People

A Poem by N.A.

I see them again
The shadows
creep on in

It’s no ghost
I’ve seen its hand
It’s not transparent
it blacks out everything
and I can’t stand it

It’s a paradise
a paradise that makes you
scream and fight
It doesn’t make sense
that’s how I know you’re in it
and you’re so in it

It’ll follow me anywhere
sending off me without any fear

I see it again
especially when driving
or in my bed
Do you know how that is?
I bet you don’t
but it doesn’t really matter
because I’m alone in all of this
so i guess you can f**k off

It’ll follow me anywhere
sending me off
without fear

I did it again
Wont get sucked in
I’m too afraid
of portals
and ants

Making plans like it’ll ever end
I know It wont end

Will my teeth fall out?
will my liver explode?
Will ever feel right?
I don’t know
you could just fall in
but you wont ever land
wont even come close to it

They follow me until the end
scratching up the inside
of my head
They’re the windowsill and the picture frame
excitement is dangerous
I can break you in
