Existential Warfare (you are not alone)

Existential Warfare (you are not alone)

A Poem by Mara
"

Basically I channeled a bunch of despair into this. It's not exactly finished but I can't bring myself to continue it.

"
It's nights like these when it all comes back to me, no rhyme or reason, no nothing is after me, but
my veins still ache, what was my mistake and now with every waking moment I go
down to the gutter where these thoughts belong
float through the rainwater with every song
I don't know if this is where I belong
 But I'm so sick
 Of being forced
 To act
 So
 Strong
 No, No!
And the stars make it all seem stranger, and there was never any real danger
And if I could stop thinking, if I could just float,
You'd find me in the river, no jacket, no boat

Chorus
Won't the night take me away?
Can there be another way?
Have we given up the ?
Will you stay with me tonight?
And we'll be each other's
Light.
