A True LeaderA Story by Naomi BloomA drabble about leadership. A drabble is a flash fiction consisting of 100 words, no more, no less.Suddenly the professor of a philosophy class said something unexpected. "Since it's so nice out you are allowed to buy some ice cream. But I need a leader for the group. Any volunteers?" "Me!" a young man said, "I'm the strongest." "Me!" a girl exclaimed, "I'm the prettiest." "Me!" a boy yelled, "I'm the hungriest." But the professor ignored them, looking at a quiet girl with her hand up. "Yes?" "Well I may not be strong or hungry, but I am the only one here who knows where the ice cream shop is." The professor chuckled, "Now that's a leader." © 2013 Naomi BloomAuthor's Note
