Time Passes By

Time Passes By

A Poem by Nancy Martin
"

As life goes on

"
Alone with my thoughts

Time passes by

Alone with my thoughts

Do not utter a sigh

Memories linger, then wither away

Daybreak to nightfall, back into Day

Moments of endless time, seem to stand still

Without any warning, they slide down the hill

Secrets remembered, kept safe out of sight

Sensuous emotions, that filled up the night

Tears on my pillow, can't remember why

Deep rooted sadness, wanting to die

Joyful embraces, Happy to be

Feelings of love, meant just for me

Raising my head, and wiping my eye

I realize now, how fast it went by

Alone with my Thoughts

It's not how, I thought it would be

All that I gave, was taken from me

For those who I worshiped, made my world

Time passes by
