Betrayal
A Poem by
Nancy Martin
dark emotions
Betrayal deep rooted creating pain. Didn't see it coming like a runaway train Roots submerged tangled so deep Anchored in love immortal in sleep Endearing words spoken led me astray Played with my heartstrings then threw it away So many years to build on a lie I will start over for now I'll just cry Life is to precious to to mull it away Happiness eludes me I'll find it someday Must find a way to leave behind the deceit Then life can rejoice and make me complete
