Sunset (Through my Eyes)

Sunset (Through my Eyes)

A Poem by Nancy Martin
"

A discription of a sunset I viewed and photographed.

"
Golden majestic hues across the horizon .Like paint on the artist's palette, the gilded amber infiltrates, and blends with the bittersweet wine, burgundy, apricot, and citrine.

In the center is a sphere. The rays stretching out, as if it's pulling down to meet the Earth.

The half-light resisting decline. The dusky onyx darkens the sky, as commanded by the vespers of the Master. He is calling it home.

Twilight is near as the brilliance fades. The incandescent luminescence lingers, like the flickering wick of a dying candle.

The shadows of the nightfall bring about a peace, with a promise of a new dawn that will awaken a daybreak, with the splendor of morningshade.

It brings the pledge of a brand new day, filled with endless possibilities.

Such vivid imagery! I've seen amazing sunsets, but I have 'seen' another through your writing. Enjoyed!
