Comfort her and tell her of God’s Son

 

When I needed comfort, you soothed me

When Lord, did I comfort you?

By giving comfort to others, you comforted Me

Is there more Lord that I can do?

Yes Lord, I see the old man needing care

Listen when he cries out to you

 

When I needed a kind ear, you heard Me

When Lord did I listen to you?

By listening to others, you listened to Me

 

I’ll lend my hand to you dear Lord

Is there more Lord, please tell me now

Yes Lord, I see that injured soul

Bind his wounds and soothe his furrowed brow

 

When I was wounded, you tended Me

When Lord, did I tend your wounds?

By tending the ills of others, you tended Me

 

I’ll lend my hand to you dear Lord

Tell me Lord throughout my years

Yes Lord, I see the hungry child

Feed him and chase away his fears

 

When I was hungry you fed Me

When Lord, did I see you hungry and feed you?

By feeding my children, you have also fed Me

Tell me as you did Your saints of ole

Yes Lord, I see that naked child

Clothe him and warm his soul

 

When I was naked you clothed Me

When Lord, did I see you naked and in need?

By clothing my children, you have also clothed Me

 

I’ll lend my hand to you dear Lord

Is there more Lord, clue me in

Yes Lord, I see him bound in chains

Visit him and free his soul from sin

 

When I was bound in sin you visited Me

When Lord did I visit you?

Each time you visited others, you have also visited Me
