In the Mist

In the Mist  

 

Clouded visions in a dream

Envelops the sea’s salty air

In the mist of the ocean spray

I see you; you are there

 

Calling my name from somewhere in the mist

My heart quickens with each breath

Quivering erupts deep down in my soul

Your voice calls on the waves; I’m here lovely Beth

 

Waves crashing against the rocks

Singing a haunting melody

With every beat of my heart

My sweet love hear my plea

 

Vivid dreams so real, I can taste the salty air

Aroma of your scent is caught up on the breeze

My heart soars on the wings of time

In my mind’s eye, I fall to my knees

 

If this is a dream; I pray never to awake

I’m lost in your strong loving embrace

Kiss my closed eyes, as my dream comes alive

Our love is relived throughout time and space
