Sapphire Dreams

Sapphire Dreams

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Sapphire Dreams

SD

Blue mist in a dream

Filtering throughout my life

Sapphire dreams relived

Dragon in the mist

Protection looms up above

Scanning blue waters

Sapphire waters flow

Through the heart and in the soul

In my dream filled mind

My sapphire dragon

Holds us safely in her gaze

Soaring through my dreams

Round the autumn moon

Stars glowing in sapphire skies

Sparkling in the night

Ring of sapphire blue

Shines with a radiant glow

A soft hand adores

This dream fills my nights

Her beauty beyond compare

Angel of my dreams

Blue misting of dreams

Dragon and Rider unite

And hearts become one

Heart of the dragon

My sweet love joins us in flight

Till the break of dawn

Blue misting haiku

Drifting on my dream filled night

A poet’s dream lived

Dear Nancy Lee,

Very nice, indeed. Congrats on the first place win in the haiku contest. Well deserved.

Best regards,

Rick

Nice work. It has a 'new age' feel to it which can sometimes be a bit cloying (in my opinion anyway) but you've avoided that trap. I think the layout complements the piece nicely.
