This Stupid HatA Poem by Nancy Lee ShraderA silly poem for a contest
This Stupid Hat My Mistress made me wear this stupid hat Embarrassed, I hear giggling from the cat Pit bulls bear their teeth, but not a smile I’ve been running for many a mile Dobermans on the corner snicker with glee Such a silly hat and booties on paws we see Male Chihuahua from Mexico stands proud This hunky Chihuahua hollers and whistles so loud Chih- Wow-wa, what a foxy dog you are Under the moon we’ll count each star Love those booties and that hat If it pleases you girl, I’ll chase that cat Merry me, and I’ll be a happy pooch For you pretty girl, I’ll give up the hooch Oh my I’m a happy Mexican dog Much happier than a mud rolling hog Mistress thank you for this yellow and red bonnet This Spanish hunk of a dog wrote me a sonnet
