Haiku Puzzle Complete Me

Haiku Puzzle Complete Me

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Haiku Puzzle Complete Me

Down through all the years

You described us a puzzle

Two pieces that fit

Holding each other

We’re each a piece to one whole

Piece now is missing

I’m lost and alone

Without your dear here with me

Puzzle is broken

We are connected

Your rib still resides in me

This piece of you left

Puzzle complete me

In heaven's gardens I'll find

My heart's missing piece

Wait for me darling

Within God's Heavenly Realm

We'll bask in His Light

Keep care my heart’s piece

Till I join you in glory

And we will be one

We'll stroll streets of gold

With those who went before us

Holding our child's hand

Darling complete me

In Heaven as here on earth

Puzzle together

Complete my puzzle

In the twinkling of an eye

I pray this dear Lord

Very interesting poem. I was totally unfamiliar with Haiku until recently I looked it up. Wasn't convinced I'd bother to read any. It is like a child's puzzle in itself. Oddly magnetic. If this is an example.

This reminds me of a billboard on a highway that has a man leaning against a wall with a hand over his face. In bold letters above, it says "Nothing is to much for God". Wonderful haikus, and thanks for submitting.

Great job. The idea of the missing puzzle piece is expressed so beautifully, and it's true that we all have that one person who fits so perfectly with us. Well written.

I really enjoy this piece. It really fits what I asked for in my contest, a love that transcends all obstacles, time, and even death. Thankyou for entering this piece into my contest!
