Nightmare Insanity

I feel darkness: Nightmares out of control

Through the night silent screams heard in my mind

Screams rip open my heart: Tears at my soul

In my insanity nurses are kind

Nightmare call in the night

Whispering its hot breath

Caught in the moment

Terrified of the night

I cry too often in the daylight hours

Memories of my night of dreams reoccur

My heart lay open on the doctor’s couch

I feel the darkness: Nightmares here again

I wish I had an answer for turning off nightmares. I think you captured the feelings evoked by them very well, Nancy. Sharon
