Life Cycle Love is Man and woman Soft embers in a heart Steaming in graceful harmony Blended A girl Daughter first born Much too small, but she’s strong Delightful angelic creature Laurie A son Impulsive child Unpredictable boy Inquisitive-spontaneous Denny A son Lives in my heart He was taken too soon My loss, heavens gain, angel’s wings David Firstborn Grandma’s delight Happy miracle child Video games! Computer whiz! Justin Snips snails Puppy dog tails Fishing rod, BB guns A grandson of many talents Michael Love blooms Innocence sweet Perfumed lips pink toenails A granddaughter grows in my heart Lyndsey A fair Ballerina Sweet angelic movements Beauty, poetry in motion Graceful Clueless Impractical Naïve, oblivious Incompetent and ignorant Clueless Teenage They know it all Capable of talking Faster faster than mom can hear. Sixteen Silence Obscure delight My twilight melody Harmony sung in early dawn Peaceful Empty Fledglings all gone Tick Tock time marches on Deafening silence around me Clueless Laughter New birth renewed Grandmother’s dream come true Three flew away, three came to stay Peaceful Circle Goes in a ring Moments end new begins Life cycle comes full circle in rhyme Content © 2009 Nancy Lee Shrader |
