Hollow Voices

Hollow Voices

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

ACLU SUES

AND WINS

Tears of Injustice

Hollow Voices

ACLU

There is no God here

They whisper in the shadows

Hollow voices speak

A C L U Sues

Courts of law do not need God

A C L U Wins

Minority rules

Majority not heard here

Where's our civil rights?

God sits on His throne

He will turn His face away

From God's Rescued Land

Christians stand up proud

Restore the Ten Commandment

Stand up for your God

Don't speak with hollow voices

Shine your light in the darkness

Let your faith be seen

Soon night approaches

And the midnight cry is heard

God sounds His trumpet

Hollow voices cry

As they fall on bended knee

Judged now by their deeds

Now they feel the heat

Fire and brimstone is their home

In the lake of fire

Christians rejoicing

Hollow voices are silenced

And God reigns supreme

Angels sing on high

Proclaiming the King of kings

Jesus is the Lord

I understand this and hear you in your prayer.
I see your 5- 7 - 5 pattern great how you wrote meaning into this...
I think god doesn't want us anything. Absolutely anything.
It is the conscience in one's self what allows all those questions?
We don't need wars. We can't have a cheap energy we are too many
and the only way I see is going back.....till to the stone age...soon we
are doubled. How can everybody get cheap energy and a convenient life.
This is impossible. But wars are not the solution. I often wonder why anybody
is claiming any lands on this planet and why do we have boundaries. I never will undestand....
wonderful small poems, Nancy.
